Hi Rick,
Downsview has a surprising number of things to do. In addition to the playing fields there is paintball (my 13 and 14 yr olds will love that), go Karting, Hoopdome (excellent basketball facility), the farmers’ and antique market, etc. And that’s just the beginning. Did I mention they’re putting a lake in too?

Despite living in Toronto, I’ve never really looked around Downsview Park. I’ve only been there once for a concert years ago and I mistakenly believed that it was nothing but an empty field until only recently.
It’s on my list of things to do in the city this summer. The “green home” sounds pretty interesting. Thanks for the tip!
